The innovation platforms and projects of Øresund Science Region are the pillars of the organization. The platforms and projects create linkages between authorities, industry and university in the cross-border Øresund Region, in identified core competencies. Platforms are established in the areas of environment, ICT, food science, logistics and medico.

Facilitating co-operation
The basic aim of the platform organisations of Øresund Science Region is to initiate and facilitate co-operation between universities, business and the public sector within the below fields. Activities include matchmaking, benchmarking, enhancing research and education, innovation, technology transfer and marketing.

Since the establishment in 2001, Øresund Science Region has created four unique platform organisations:

Øresund Food Network (food science)
Øresund Environment Academy (environmental)
Øresund Logistics (logistics)
