Øresund Logistics is a network organisation uniting Danish and Swedish actors within logistics, built on close relations with universities, industries and governments. The main mission is to advance logistics and supply chain management in the Øresund Region as well as to promote the region as the main gate and the logistic hub for Scandinavia and the Baltic Rim. Øresund Logistics supports logistics in the Øresund Region in four ways:

• Network activities, seminars, conferences, workshops 
• Boost knowledge about logistics
• Identify and initiate research and development projects
• Branding of the Øresund Region as the Nordic Main Gate

Growth in the logistics sector
The organisation works as a project generator in the Øresund Region and as a catalyst for growth and development in the logistics sector. Since the beginning of 2003 Øresund Logistics has initiated projects in the region to the total amount of a quarter of a billion SEK. The projects include research, education, development and various industry driven projects.


The Scandinavian Shuttle
The Scandinavian Shuttle is one of the projects initiated by Øresund Logistics. The project incorporates five partners from three European countries representing the logistics industry as well as a prominent research centre. The Scandinavian Shuttle service is a reliable freight corridor for intermodal traffic between continental Europe and the Scandinavian Peninsula, built on a new and innovative approach to railway transportation. The project has been approved by the European Commission as the first Scandinavian project to be classified as innovative in the Marco Polo programme.

Providing acess to regional and global networks
With Øresund Logistics insight into trends, ideas, and concrete research projects within the business, university, and governmental spheres, we can help bringing interested partners in our network closer together to initiate new development projects. The organisation provides access to regional as well as global networks. Today, the network of Øresund Logistics includes approximately 1,200 representatives from Scandinavian companies that, free-of-charge, have access to information and knowledge through Øresund Logistics.

The most important hub in northern Europe
The vision is that the Øresund Region becomes the most important hub in northern Europe, both in a physical and in an academic sense, with the most effective and environmental sustainable logistic and transport processes in the world.
