Sweden and Denmark ranks among the most innovative economies in the European Union. In the Øresund Region these two national systems for innovation meets in a cross border context opening a unique window of opportunity for new ventures to materialize in the mix of both supportive systems. Øresund Innovation aims to increase collaboration and mutual learning within this unique constellation of actors and institutions supporting new knowledge intensive ventures to transpire, grow and boost into new markets and business areas. In close collaboration with innovation actors and supporting institutions in the Øresund region stretching from universities, technology transfers offices, incubators, science parks and capital providers Øresund Innovation works to mediate a cross border innovation system based on mutual learning and collaboration as one central part of the entire Oresund model.
