Copenhagen Business School (CBS), having 14,800 students
and a permanent staff of 860, is the largest business school in NorthernEurope. CBS is a learning university, committed to
being an attractive, modern centre of research and education
with an international orientation, thus contributing to Danish
society and its business sector.

It offers Denmark's most comprehensive range of university
degrees in economics and business administration, modern
languages for business and communication. It houses two
faculties: The Faculty of Economics and Business
Administration, and the Faculty of Languages, Communicaion
and Cultural Studies, at which students can take Bachelor,
Master, and PhD degrees. A large part of the teaching takes
place in English, and several degrees are studied entirely in
English.

The programmes require a high degree of student activity and
a major independent effort. There are many demanding group
projects, papers and seminars. Teamwork is meant to develop
students' interpersonal skills, which are increasingly essential
prerequisites of a business career.

CBS strives to be among the best institutions of higher
education in Europe, meeting the goals of being a major
contributor to value creation in business and society, training
graduates who are competitive in the international job market
and developing new research-based knowledge in partnership
with companies and other organisations.

Founded in 1917, CBS has its centre in the part of Copenhagen
called Frederiksberg not far from the centre of the city. CBS considers the Øresund Region as its natural home ground and is, therefore, actively committed to the broad, cross-frontier collaboration with Swedish universities in the Øresund University. CBS has cooperation agreements with more than 280
universities throughout the world and is the Danish member of
CEMS (Community of European Management Schools) and a
member of PIM (Program in International Management).
CBS has been accredited by EQUIS.
