The Øresund Region comprises southern Sweden and the eastern part of Denmark and has a population of 3.5 million people. It is one of Europe's leading educational and scientific centres. Through Øresund Summer University, a variety of universities in the Øresund region offer courses of outstanding international quality within their areas of expertise. Together, the 12 universities in the Øresund University consortium cover almost all academic disciplines, and the academic level is very high.

All summer courses take place at one of the individual member universities of the Øresund University consortium. The courses taught at the individual institutions vary in academic level, length, starting date and fee.
